Clomid 50mg is one of the most well-known ovulatory medications available. Clomid has a high success rate, with approximately 80% of women who use it releasing mature eggs. The likelihood of conceiving twins ranges from 5% to 12%.

History of Clomid:

Depending on the target tissue, a triphenylethylene stilbene derivative (Clomifene) is an oestrogen agonist or antagonist. Clomiphene belongs to a class of drugs known as ovulatory stimulants. It functions similarly to oestrogen, a female hormone that stimulates egg development in the ovaries.

Chemical Formula of Clomid:

Indication of Clomid:

Clomifene is primarily used to treat female infertility. Clomifene (formerly known as clomiphene) is a non-steroidal ovulatory medication that works as a selective oestrogen receptor modulator.

Clomifene can cause repeated ovulation and increase the likelihood of having twins. Clomifene interacts with organs that possess oestrogen receptors, such as the hypothalamus, endometrium, vagina, pituitary, ovary, and cervix.

Mechanism of action of Clomid:

Clomifene contains both estrogenic and anti-estrogenic effects, although its exact mechanism of action is unknown. Clomifene appears to stimulate the release of gonadotropins, follicle-stimulating hormone, and luteinizing hormone, leading in the formation of ovarian follicles and ovulation, and hence pregnancy. Clomifene has a half-life of 5-7 days.

How to use Clomifene:

Clomiphene is available as a pill. It is typically taken once daily for five days, commencing on or around day five of the cycle. Follow the directions on your prescription label exactly, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any parts you don’t understand. Clomiphene should be taken exactly as prescribed. Take no more or less of it.

Side effects of Clomid:

Clomifene can cause flushing, breast pain, double vision, weight gain, vomiting, headache, and stomach trouble.
